ymail-champ.jpgI have been using my Yahoo! Mail account since the late 90′s and am sort of a fan to their new Yahoo! Mail beta, which is a AJAX powered mailbox meaning you will never have page loads again! I agree it is sort of cranky in the slower connections, but with my Airtel Broadband power, impossible is nothing (Yea, I worked in Airtel, so am biased!).

MsDanielle, Can I have the Zune? Please..

I have been planning this post for some time now, but since I did not want to rush the post since I really want to win that Zune. So, Whats this whole Zune thingy? Read on.

Once upon a time….na, sounds boring :!: I have no idea how many times I have been pressing the backspace to write this review of Ms. Danielle’s Blog, which is now officially 3 months old. The pink blog site has had some terrific graphs of improvement in terms of ranking. Its in no other way but up! I don’t remember from where I got to her blog, but after digging through the blog for a while, it got into my picky RSS reader.

Last week I got my paypal money deposited to my bank account. Time to celebrate

It was a fairly simple procedure since I used my Xoom account to transfer the funds to my bank. Xoom is a online fund transfer service much like PayPal or Western Union Money Transfer and others. They specialize in India and do direct deposit to your bank account. I first sent myself the money to my bank account and paid with my Paypal account. The money was deposited to my account in 2 days flat. I was really impressed with the level of service and would really recommend them to anyone! The withdrawal fee structure is a bit on the higher side compared to paypal, but is justified with the speed of the transaction.

I had written earlier that I was going to quit my day job at Airtel in Cochin and start concentrating on my studies and my online activities. But due to some reason or the other, for the better or the worse I am still with Airtel Broadband and Telephone Services.

I work in the retention team here in Cochin. My job? Bring back customers who are leaving us. That’s my job profile in one line. Customer retention is a major concern for every telecom operator all over the global village. Recently Economic Times published statistics that says that 1/4th of the customer base moves between the operators in a year! Most companies have realised or are in the process of realising that a customer retained is better than two customers acquired.

The N-Gage QD has been the first phone in my life. I have been a faithful user of the N-gage QD since I bought it in last Feb. ’06. I bought it after reviewing almost half a dozen phones in the market. It had almost everything I needed like a Symbian OS, MMC Support, Truetones, out-of-ordinary looks, ease of use and the sturdiness of a military device. It has been almost a year now, good time for writing a review on the long time use of a phone, right? But unfortunately the phone is no longer available in the market and there are rumours that there will not be a part-3 of the N-Gage Series.
