This is a paid review, but it is my uninfluenced review and suggestions on the site.

I never looked into Blog Aggregators before I got this review request as I always thought they never provided any real value to the users except post content from other blogs. But when I got a request to review this Indian Blog Aggregator called enewss, I had to revisit my own prejudice about blog aggregators just being scraper sites.

Enewss is a Indian Blog Aggregator with a small twist to it. It combines the functions of a blog aggregator with a social network. This is a very innovative idea and it helps builds a community around the site. I always used to ask myself why people visit these sites and for what. Just a visit to enewss now, you will understand why it exists.

It contains information about various topics at a glance. But what is the point? I am not sure about english bloggers, but most of the regional language bloggers rely just on blog aggregators and regional digg clones for new posts in their language. This is where enewss comes in with its unique selling point, the social network with blog aggregator. It has language specific categories like Hindi, Tamil and usual categories like Technology, Recipes and others.

Suggestions:

There are quite a few things like simplicity, ease of use and white space that I loved with enewss. But there are a few other things I noted which can do with some improvement too.

Ad could be better placed within the content for a better CTR.

SEO in the pages need to be worked from ground up

Malayalam Categories is currently missing. I am sure they miss a social network like this.

Socializing the content on the site.

Conclusion

I am already a fan and think it holds a lot of promise in regional language aggregation as most of them are scattered and will find enewss very useful to getting in touch with other bloggers. What do you guys think about blog aggregators and enewss in particular?

If you have been to the DigitalPoint Forums in the past few months, you might have noticed the new player in the link sales area – TNX.Net. They are one player who got my attention by promoting themselves extensively on the blogs I read and on DigitalPoint.

I never really gave my time to link sales on any of my sites though a lot of webmasters use it to make a couple of hundreds and more each month. I recently had the chance to try out TNX through a friend of mine who was looking for some exposure for his site.

Though the links are do-follow, I recommed using them to gain exposure on the smaller fry sites. The links are cheap, and help you gain attention from the right category of people the easy way. With Google PageRank turning out to be useless in judging the true value of sites, It simply does not make sense to buy links or sell them to inflate some worthless number!

Quite a smart lot, they are promoting themselves on Digitalpoint; the place where most of the webmaster crowd hangout all day. From buying all popular users signatures, avatars and all that, giving benefits to them personally, you can’t loose out!

They have a thread where you get a lot of TNX points for free to test drive the system and a google link generator so that google does not penalize for paid links. As a affiliate whore that I am trying to become these days, I searched up for their partner program in hopes of cashing out on it, but ended up a little sad that they prefer giving the rewards as TNX points, not as cash.

Thats good and bad in itself. One, it encourages the use of the whole system as a whole. One the negative side, my paypal account sits idle Overall, I found the system a nice way to launch my online radio site. I will share up on the results on link building with them soon.

Recently I won a contest from a fellow blogger Andreas Bard in a contest hosted by him. I promised to give away the prize money to another blogger in a contest. I won $30 cash from him, but due to credit card payment, paypal took a commision off it. So I am giving away 27.93, what I got from Andreas.

The rules are simple since the prize is not something to write home about. To enter the contest make a post about this blog linking to a inner post tell everyone about the contest and where the money came from. Here is a sample.

TheAnand is running a link back promotion contest where you can win $27.93 cash! He is giving away cash which he won at another contest hosted by Andreas Bard’s blog. TheAnand has some rocking posts like. . . .

This is all I ask for! To find a rocking post, visit the top posts section and find a post which will interest your readers. Make sure you link to Andreas Bard as well, since he started this whole thing! Also for every 5 entries I get, I will write about it giving you a free link from my blog as well. I will link to your homepage and to a inner post. Thats 2 links for 1!

Since this blog is not much in terms of traffic, you have a better chance of winning. Please send in your mails to me through my contact form so that I can know who is entering so that I can keep track of the entries. So, jump in for your free link back and a chance to win $27.93 cash! The last date will be announced shortly so that everyone gets a fair chance to get in.

Update: My Contact form is down for the time, please leave a comment to this post so that I can know who all are entering the contest.

Updated Again Aug 1st: The contact form is live, you may also mail me the entry through the contact form.

If you have been reading my blog for over a month now, you might remember how my computer ran into trouble in April, erasing all the files in my PC and then I had to start everything afresh right from the scratch. Was I frustrated? Yes, and yes a million times! Everyone hates having their PC run into problems and having all their data erased.

This is where software like Active File Recovery comes into the scene. This software provides users with the ability to recover deleted data from the empty recycle bin, files lost due to a mistaken format of the hard disk, files lost by virus attack or even recover files that are lost during a power failure.
Besides the ability to recover deleted files, this interesting program will recover files after a disk partition loss, format or damage. This could have been very useful for me if I had known about this software in times of my trouble. Also the Active File Recovery Enterprise installation package comes with a CD/DVD ISO image, which you can burn into a CD or a DVD along with a light weight Windows Vista installation which can be used to recover data from machines that refuse to boot properly.

All in all Active File Recovery is a must have utility if you are a victim of frequent data loss and need a permanent solution to all your recovery needs instead of having to run to the nearby recovery specialist with your hard disk every time this happens!

But software cannot be all praises all the way, can it? But after using this software for a while, the only problem I had with it was the slow load times, it might be something related to its powerful scan and recover process, but even then the wait was well worth it. The software was able to recover a few files which I had deleted from the hard disk using Shift-Delete, bypassing the Recycle Bin. So, if you have any problems with your data being lost, give this data recovery software a try.

Surfing the web looking for new sources to monetize your site? I found a new way to make money just by placing a video mash on your site and letting people watch it and make money on a CPM basis, which is basically cost per 1000 impressions. The News Room will pay you 1$ per 1000 impressions, is that not cool? For your information, the industry average for this is way too less!

The video mash from their site makes them money through advertising and you get a share of the profit on the video. This is literally a method of making money online doing something you normally do! Bloggers whose site has a high traffic can literally make a lot with this method. For the smaller ones out there the majority of us, which includes me as well, a few more dollars a month will not hurt us one bit, but will actually help us a lot!

The site is extremely useful and easy to use also, although it took a bit of time for me to grasp the concept of making money out of it. The basic idea is that you sign up and look for videos to what they call – Mash and then embed the video which contains advertisements to your blog and then when people watch it, you make money easy! The content in the site is totally licensed and is from major providers like AP, Reuters and others.

If you are on the lookout for new methods for making money online, then TheNewsRoom is worth a visit from you! Check the service in action here:

Most companies have difficult and useless software that they spend a fortune on, and in return all it gives them is trouble, useless data and more trouble when you want that data for the meeting in the evening! I have been a victim of many useless softwares claiming to give you all info at the touch of a button, but all I ever got from a single touch has been a computer reset from hanging! Fun intended!

AIMPromote has a new CRM solution which looks promising and assures you of making more money selling than spend your time learning how the software works! Their Lead Management is already being used by many companies who have a very good review on the product. It has a very useful report generation and sales tracker so that you know where things are going in which direction, so that you can do what is necessary at the right time. Another main feature of AIMPromote is their helpful customer support and help. So if you are looking for a nice crm software, give AIMPromote a look for sure.

If you have been a trainer, you must know the difficulty of having to get the whole team up and running with the knowledge to push sales and other critical departments. I used to have a heck of a time running around having to educate my team members traveling one day, training the next day and traveling again and so on. I always preferred to use the custom computer based training courses if it was available for me then. It would have helped me reduce all those traveling and support costs and its very easy to train a lot of people from a single location. I will prefer it to traditional training schedules any day of the year!

Resource Bridge is one such company who provide custom computer based learning and training tools using the internet. Their product is user friendly for the e-learner as well as the trainer and it can very well help in reducing costs to the company while increasing productivity of users.

Within hours of its launch, the whole blogosphere is divided on whether this was the right thing to be do by PPP. I decided to leave my ripples on this.

The new tool by PPP allows advertisers to approach you from your site itself and hire bloggers to post about them. Unlike other popular pay per post sites like reviewme and sponsored reviews, PPP takes only a 2% per post. and this amount is taken from the advertiser, meaning that you will get your full share and the advertiser will pay PPP the 10%. This should be fine with most bloggers and advertisers also, since they are effectively paying less commision.

But the problem lies in the fact that they currently have no publisher marketplace where advertisers can search for prospective bloggers to post about them. If the PPP can bring in something of this sort in, then I am sure most advertisers will switch to PPP for their marketing buzz creation. But I would call this a badly planned launch since they should have launched this along with the marketplace to match with the others in the market.

Kumiko says that PPP is not eligible for any commisions, JohnChow declares that PPP failed to ReviewMe. All are critical about the PPP launching its Direct service. While this is true, I believe it will not be far before PPP will do something on this. Since they are known to listen to the users.

My take on PPP’s new feature is that it will make some money on some blogs, but the real impact will come once the marketplace is launched, if at all it is. While I may not use this on my blog till the next PageRank Update, I will continue to make 100% on all sponsored posts unlike the others! What do you think about this move of PPP. Leave your comments.

ItsMyMarket.com is an interesting site with free classifieds ads in your local area. Good for those looking for trading things in your locality. You simply register and place an ad for you what need, and you will surely be checked my a large number of existing members and many new members joining in each day. The point here is community interaction in your local area.

The site also provides you other services like blogs, weather reports and even cinema listings. Very useful if you are my kind, the type of people who hardly leave the computer and think the net can provide you with any information you need. The concept of the site is very good and its pretty much bustling with activity right now. I am in, are you

Since my computer was into a lot of trouble last month, I had decided to move all my data online, the first thing I tried was to use the vacant and plenty of space available on Gmail. But the programs for that dint seem to work out for me. I needed some space for storing my essential web development data and other files. I managed to get my bookmarks and other stuff online using Netvibes. But data was still a problem.

Today I came across iDrive-E, which is a Online Backup service provider with free space of 2Gb and you can also opt for unlimited space at 4.95/month. I think the free space is pretty much enough for me at this point. I have signed up for the service today, I will put up a full review of this once I use it for a while. This seems to be pretty interesting service as they promise to have a great interface for easy access and storage. Watch this space for more on this.
