Since my computer was into a lot of trouble last month, I had decided to move all my data online, the first thing I tried was to use the vacant and plenty of space available on Gmail. But the programs for that dint seem to work out for me. I needed some space for storing my essential web development data and other files. I managed to get my bookmarks and other stuff online using Netvibes. But data was still a problem.

Today I came across iDrive-E, which is a Online Backup service provider with free space of 2Gb and you can also opt for unlimited space at 4.95/month. I think the free space is pretty much enough for me at this point. I have signed up for the service today, I will put up a full review of this once I use it for a while. This seems to be pretty interesting service as they promise to have a great interface for easy access and storage. Watch this space for more on this.

Online storage is booming, but its important that you choose an established service rather than a newcomer which possibly provides more bang for buck.
box.net and mediamax.com are two really old services.

This was one that came across a review site…so giving it a try…looks pretty good, but it comes into use only if the PC screws up…which i wish is never…but these windows machines!
