Bid Unique and Win stuff?


Today while surfing the internet wave, I got to see a nice site which intrigued me a lot. It is a site called Bid4Prizes, a site which allows you to win cool stuff by bidding low and unique. Low and unique were the word that made me notice this site. Usually in a typically auction, you have to bid higher than the rest and win it when you have reached above the others bids.

But here, this site wants you to bid low and unique. I got a bit interested in this whole concept since the products in the gallery were so much unavailable in the normal market. Like the iPhone in the bids section. Currently you can win it if you bid unique and between 59-79 cents! Thats a really great price for a phone that has not hit the market yet. :lol: Just make sure your lowest bid is unique to win it!

    hey madhu, I think bid2win which is aired every late night is some kind of a scam or a show that happened ages ago. I tried playing it “live” too, but I could not find a way to play it :)

    Hey
    I think bid2win is cool and nice idea but when it goes in bussiness it lose its identiy. What I want to tell is for a phone value of 15000 or 20000 if they look for a profit of fourty thousand or fifty thousand it not a harm at all but when they look for profit of million of rupees they we have to think for a moment. See million of people participate and bid for a single phone where chances of winning is one in million. If they restrict number of participants participating for single phone then is good…….other wise they are just want to exploit our ignorance

    :oops: SanthoshJi it is not the matter of millions of bidder. If you search in the google or any other search engine with keyword like :arrow: “bid2win scam” “bid2win fraud” “complaints againts bid2win” you will find that not a single person got any prize from these scammer. In india like country it is easy to run cheatfund like programs.

    The auctions are a big cheating as well as the people behind it. You will end up loosing a considerable amount creating lots of problems for ownself…. Whether you win(hardly possible) or you loose ultimately you will be a looser…will surely get a lesson for this… The people running the show are dubious and unprofessional. You will end up sending Bids wherein the probability of winning is that you need to send SMS worth atleast 50% of the value of the product. Thereafter they will ask you to pay tax@31% on MRP(you can easily get the product from open market at less than MRP) and for delievery of product they will keep on ignoring your call, either disconnect it(if you say you are one of the winner calling) and will keep on saying that the concerned person is not available…will make you wait for more than 10-11 months…either you forget the product…and if you dont….then the product would be delievered when the prices of that product slashes…you end up costing that product more than 150% of the actual value of the product…..(apart from this they already used to quote the product 20% higher i.e. at MRP)

    The SMS that you send cost Rs. 10 Per SMS wherein you need to keep on sending several hundreds of SMS with a great possibility to loose..

    Bid2loose……..The organisation is making money all round…Keep yourself away from these shows running as goldsafe, beathemall etc on ETV kannada, ETV Telgu, Sony TV etc.

    :evil: Just recently I signed up for Photobucket online and in the process you are hit with an ad for bid4prizes upon signing up, this ad is displayed the sam time as photobuckets signup and there is a box that you can uncheck to bypass this but when you sign in it asks for your cell number.

    I signed in thinking it was phtobucket and aparently signed up for this useless site Bid4prizes. I was charged on my cell phone $10.00 instantly. As soon as I saw the charge Icalled Bid4prizes and explained to them what had happened, the support person said that as soon as the charge shows up on their records they would issue me a refund.

    So I waited a day and called back only to be greeted by a rude support worker who refused to be helpful and referred to me as being stupid.
    So of course along with being insulted they have my money and I have absolutely nothing to show for it.
    As far as I am concerned this is deceptive and just short of scamming someone.

    Just a warning for those signing up to Photobucket and Bid4prizes.

    Once the have your money forget about it.

    what reality behind this is a whole media group.(like zee telicasts)and communication media(airtel,hutch etc).if media i gone fraud then u better what happen with single human being.

    We write to you on behalf of our Client M/s. Cellcast Interactive (I) Pvt. Ltd.,having it’s Office at 4th Floor, Alta Vista Tower 2, 1406 / 15, Off. Chincholi Bunder Link Road, Behind Inorbit Mall, Malad West Mumbai 400 064, India.

    1) That as you already aware that you had participated in the show “Bid 2 Win” produced by our Client and had won a 42″ Samsung Plasma Television on the 18th of November, 2006 and that we received your documents for the same by the 19th of December.2006.

    2) That as per the terms and conditions of the said show you were required to pay the tax levied by the Government on the product won by you.

    3) That on your own account your chose not to pay the tax and approached the Hon’ble Consumer Forum Gwalior, upon whose direction we were to send product to you having paid the Government levied taxes.

    4) That during entire period the bid product was discontinued by the Company and thus our Client picked up a LG 42″ Television for all the eight winners of the show, including yourself. It was also informed to you that the amount of tax payable on the said win will be initially paid by our client since the procurement cost of the said product had been lower than the announced value as it is commonly seen/experienced in respect of electronic goods theprices do drop down considerably. And balance amount if any will be considered in the form of cheque payment after accounting for TDS paid within the purview of the prize amount won subject to you providing them with your self attested copy of Pan Card and Form 50 (Road Permit) which is mandatory as per the respective state government rules and regulations to which the goods are being sent, Declaration stating that you have relocated from West Bengal to Gwalior and the proof of your current Gwalior address.

You have maliciously stated that “it is on me which brands and from which location I wish to accept the 42″ Plasma TV”, our Clients wish to state that they aware that you are in possession of the Court Order and are utterly shocked as to how you have mentioned something that has no mention in the order of the Hon’ble Court.

    6) That due to your lax in attitude our Clients were unable to complete their transaction in your case. And that incase all this was not enough to aggrieve our Client you began to harass them in other ways.

    7) That our Clients were shocked to find the personal mobile numbers of their Senior Executives being displayed on blogs and web pages posted by you. That due to this act of yours the senior executives of our Client were harassed during the day and odd hours at night by crank callers. That you yourself have made several calls to our Clients Senior Executives and tried to harass them by using objectionable language.

    8) That you have also posted several defamatory articles on the net that have maligned the reputation of our Client’s Company and their shows.

    9) That we call upon you to cease from making any such calls to any of our Client’s Executives or representatives with immediate effect.

    10) And that you are also called upon to remove all the defamatory articles uploaded by you on the Internet within 48 (Forty Eight) hours of receipt of this Legal Notice.

    You are hereby called to consider this as the last and final notice on behalf of our Client and we hope that you shall refrain from posting such baseless and defamatory on the Internet and making calls to our Client’s Executives and representatives on their personal mobile numbers.

    You are also requested to note that any communication (written or verbal ) shall be routed through our Office and you shall not in any circumstance try and contact any of our Clients representatives. Failure on your behalf to adhere to the present clause shall amount to harassment and defamarory proceedings against you in the strictest possible manner and the same shall be done at your risk and cost alone.

    I do not think it was the right thing that you got a legal notice for the above stuff. the only point in this whole letter you have posted is the thing that you said something which was not there in the official notice.

    7. there is no such thing as you were only trying to let the world know what you went through. Internet is about free speech and no one can really stop you from doing that.

    8. If they did not honor their commitment, you are free to tell it to the world. But at the same time, if they could not honor their commitment due to your laxity….you are definitely to blame .

    Can you tell me when happend after the above notice was sent?
