Its been quite a while since Kerala got its private radio stations and Cochin is the last city to join the party. I never thought radio was boring since its quite an engaging thing while driving or while just taking a rest at the couch. I usually tune into the All India Radio once in a while in the evenings where Rainbow FM plays the latest hindi tracks and the RJ’s are pretty cool too. Today Morning I was hopping channel to channel in hopes of finding something worthwhile to watch when I saw Jaya TV running a morning breakfast show called Kaalai Malar. They were running a segment on Fitness and Health. A section in the show was website review in which they were busy reviewing a fitness site which supposedly contained all the fitness deals, fitness tips and more about cosmetics. The site reviewed?

The reviewer was busy telling us the reader about how useful this site really is as it contained links to many special “deals” and information online. He was explaining each link and category in depth. If you have not spotted the goofup already, you are not a webmaster.

Different Posts Per Page: This is a plugin that lets you define how many posts you want to display per page. I find this very useful since I want to display all the posts in the archives page, but only 7 on the homepage, 5 on the results page and likewise. Neat.

BlogCamps are fun! Not that I have been to any. Judging from how the recent barcamp went, it seems that BlogCamp will be hell lot of fun!

The concept of barcamps, meetups and unconferences are slowly catching pace in Kerala judging the crowd at the past 3 barcamps and junior barcamps. Funnily enough, my spell checker says barcamps, meetups and unconferences are not dictionary words. Heck, even blog is not a word in my spell checker!

I was wondering how to reach all the bloggers and to inform them about the event. One list acclaimed by many is the Kerala Blog Roll. Anyone knows any other directories where bloggers can be reached?

In todays world, when you want to answer something you know nothing about, you just say: “Yo Just Google it Maan!”. Google is a search engine that is supposed to know everything right? Right.

One of my resolutions for the New Year was to connect with more techies and webbies offline and hence have a pool of contacts I can always count on to have a drink or a watch a movie together or maybe simply ask about their adsense earnings for the week ;). Orkut was my first stop to find some people offline at my place Cochin. I found a few really interesting people and got in touch with them. It was really great to meet up with them, a bunch of techies who are warm and made me regret I had not taken this decision earlier :). No dollars ever earned gave me the feeling of happiness when people recognize your site and appreciate it. You need to feel it to actually understand what I am trying to say.

Usually the New Year for me meant getting drunk and partying out on the roads with friends doing things that are usually illegal and totally stupid. This year I chose to do something different and try slide into the new year than try to run head on into it with a bottle of Vodka!

A lot of people who have spent the last week of a year in Cochin will agree with me that it is the best place to have a smashing Christmas and a New Year. I know a lot of people who want to have some real fun (legal and illegal ) come from places like Banglore and other South Indian cities.

Title says it why I have not been blogging, not chatting with you people on Yahoo, MSN and even Orkut for that matter.
