It is no that the one language is good and other is bad or a poor quality. The situation Decides the Language to be choosen. i'm a computer Science graduate. being in this field i want to say one thing. that whatever language you might hold. the brand name java takes it away. JSP is best in most of the cases. if you want you can still go for php.

Thank you. :)

Still you need a comment? :D.. as I can see the post start date!
Anyway as I came here... I will say PHP! ..though its easy to learn all of these. PHP is better comparing the speed and accessibility I think.. I have already read hell lot many posts debating on this point that I said.. am not starting up one anew here now! Simply said what I felt.

I think that asp is for those who are comfy with the vb and other win based programming, and it pays out very well too, since they are high in demand in the programming industry.
PHP is very strong, robust and is for everyone who knows his thing and it has a very helpful community around it which is good for the newbies entering the programming.
JSP is for....well...err...hmm...no idea, but its certification is very valuable.

the verdict? ASP is for money, PHP is for passion. JSP is for.. ;-)

If I am wrong, do correct me!

I guess its best to go for PHP since most people are running Linux servers (afaik asp is windows only). Anyway, LAMP is by far the most popular combo.

I personally have been practicing PHP/MySQL for about 6 years and feel that it is the best of those three to learn.

My reasoning is that they all do pretty much the same thing, but PHP is free and many scripts are written in PHP (like WordPress or vBulletin for example). This allows me to intergrate any PHP script into my custom coding as well as be able to understand and modify the programming with the packaged scripts.
