I just noticed the indian clone of the famous YouTube called AapkaVideo, which translates to YouTube in english! AapkaVideo is an online service that allows you to watch, upload, and share your videos with others. This is a very interesting site to watch since it has almost all the features of all the standard Youtube and a desi touch to it.
The interface is pretty neat and the site has loads of video already in many topics and tags. I think this site will appeal to all the desi-fans and directors who are looking for some exposure in the local market specifically. The current videos uploaded include topics like cricket, interesting ads, Bollywood Videos and other stuff. They do have a strict policy on copyrighted and illegal content. That’s a relif and a difference from YouTube! The current limit on the size of the video is 100MB, which is very resonable.
So, all you budding Indian directors, and those home-video makers looking for some desi exposure, you know where to go now!
