Today the first episode of the new Crorepati, hosted by Shah Rukh Khan went on air today.
Shah Rukh Khan a.k.a King Khan stepped into the shoes of Shri Amitabh Bachan as the host of the Indian version of – “Who wants to be a millionaire?”. The show had a mass following since it first aired in the 00’s. The earlier host Shri Amitabh Bachan was the perfect host for the show with his perfect sense of style and presentation. The King Khan steps into this role after Mr. Bachan declined to host the new season of the show. The modest Khan said that he will try to be the “second best” host of this show.
I am too small to step in the shoes of Mr Bachchan. I’m not replacing him but I am only stepping in as a host of the show after he declined. At best, I am there as the second best choice. In this capacity, I will ensure that the show does not lose out on its entertaining content.
I personally think that Shah Rukh will be a good host for this show with his mass appeal and his witty sense of humour and style and will definitely bring in a new life for the show. But what he lacks is the persona and the charisma of Mr. Bachan, that something about Big B will always be missed by many.
